I think it's hilarious of orv to have the characters just swap coats as an outfit change. Like it's totally for Stat reasons that kdj wears 1863!hsy's coat right? But she didn't have to give her coat to him. Or the whole symbolic thing with yjh wearing kdj's coat.

SingShong didn't have to do that but they did. And it's incredibly delightful.

I have a whole google doc detailing every coat swap between yjh, kdj, and hsy and it's a great way of keeping track of doubles.

Like, did you know 1863! Hsy wears black during the epilogue after yjh regressed and obtained the same sword as him?

When kdj met 1863!hsy she had unbreakable faith which dyes black when she uses it, but she replaced it with yjh’s blade. I think a lot about how hsy understood yjh’s words on how “every human is a regressor” and felt like she went through the regressions with him while writing. I’m sure other people noticed this connection.

This turned from a silly post poking at the trio to serious thoughts about hsy. I’m not really sorry.
