I got things to the point in which I need to put on all the layers to fit the shoulders and darts on my body and I wasn’t up for it last night so that’s today’s plan. I also made a few covered buttons but not sure if I’m into them because I sincerely doubt I’ll have time to further embellish. We’ll see.

Last night I piped and lined the bodice peplum. I changed the size of the peplum from my mockup and I think I over shot a little. Oh well, everything is relative so when I make the overkskirt I’ll just have to make sure it’s a large enough pouf to balance it.

Fair warning, I’m going to be using this space for daily costume progress accountability for the next month.
Last night I cleared unrelated projects off of the sewing (AKA the dining table that I’ve just taken over, sorry @armstrongwrites).
I also tried all the layers on again, made a few minor adjustments, pinned a hemline, and realized I need to pad out the dress form derriere more.

Ok folks, we’re down to the wire. I have 1 more sleep ‘til Halloween and choices need to be made. Knowing that this is a work in progress and will continue to be tweaked and/or added to over the next year what do I focus on tonight? 1) bodice trim 2) overskirt/draped bustle 3) hairstyle dry run/shoe rosettes/gathering all the stuff for tomorrow morning.
Also, it looks like rain tomorrow so boo on that.

Sleeve trim is done but not as much progress yesterday due to errands. 1) In preparation for possible cold Halloween weather I bought this shawl from the sale table at work and got this for 75% off 2) Playing with skirt trim ideas 3) What 9 yards of fabric pleated into 3 yards look like rolled up.
