Today's find: an exceptional leather covered box. 4.5" L x 3" W x 2.5" T I would guess that this is from the first quarter of the 18th century. No wood is visible. Great brass latch and snipe hinges. The condition is remarkable. Latin (?) writing (ink) on the yellow paper lining the interior. Unfortunately, my Latin translator is on holiday.
