An interesting mid-century etching. An Asian market scene. I've got nothing on the title or artist. #etching @iowacityart (at Iowa City Art & Antiques) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf967_4ua8p/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I purchased this remarkable Expressionist Woodcut on Friday. The image measures 30" T x 19" W and it's on mulberry paper. Some condition issues. Title is "Mary Washes His Feet". Signature as shown. I assume this is American , but the work looks German. Perhaps the artist studied in Germany or with someone at the Art Institute of Chicago? Does anyone recognize this work? #expressionism #expressionismart #expressionistart #expressionistwoodcut #woodcut @iowacityart (at Iowa City Art & Antiques) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf1YVE-ud5o/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
