Tour of 190 Bowery with Dusty Rebel
Recently, I was asked to give a short tour of 190 Bowery, as part of series about NYC landmarks. The iconic building has been a canvas for street art and graffiti for decades, and is currently being renovated. Since graffiti has become so much part of the building, the Landmarks Preservation Commission approved restoration with allowances for the street art to remain on the ground floor. While it's allowed to stay, there have been several attempts to buff the exterior, yet it's still unclear what future plans will be.
