Believe it or not, Jack Off Jill helped me rediscover the 80’s girl band The Go-Go’s. I rediscovered JOJ when I was 16 thanks to Marilyn Manson (who was actually my celebrity crush at the time), and I was reading reviews of JOJ’s “Clear Hearts Grey Flowers” album on Amazon.com and someone said JOJ were like “The Go-Go’s meets Nine Inch Nails”. And I remember one day having a Go-Go’s song playing in my head and then Vh1 Classic was airing that “Behind the Music” episode of The Go-Go’s and I fell in love with their music.
