If I were to write a clegan fic based off of the Spencer/Alexandra plotline in the Yellowstone prequel 1923, should I write it with buff Gale as I posit here (x)? Also, if I were to write it, what has Gale's aunt written him that insists he come back?

You walk down the street in the early morning, each breath carrying just enough of a bite to remind you that autumn is approaching. There’s the scent of freshly baked bread and the distant rumble of an automobile a block over—then one of the newsies steps out, waving his cap in your direction. You stop, and return his smile.

“Did you hear?” the young man exclaimed, “There’s a new alternate reality fic coming out this weekend! It’s set in this very city, Boston, of all places! And, of course, in 1923. Guess they couldn’t think of a better year.”  He replaced his cap and struggled, for a moment, with his armful of papers before passing one to you.

Thanking him, you glance down at the headline, and skimmed the first sentence. Then, with a cheery grin, you flip the young man a coin and continue on your way.

That’s right, you heard it here first, folks. There’s a 1920′s fic coming out soon with your favourite youtubers as the main cast! Currently watching 1923 (despite knowing how it ends because of my mother) and I feel like the Spencer/Alexandra relationship would make a good Clegan fanfic.

Gale, who's haunted by the war, now lives in Africa and travels from village to village, travel group to travel group, hunting predators that attack them for money. He meets Bucky by chance, who's having a destination wedding of sorts at a lodge-ish place. He doesn't love his fiancé, which is obvious by the way he's flirting with Gale. He's marrying the manbecause of familial pressure.

Gale tells him that he's leaving the next day for his next job, and the next day Bucky chases after Gale's car. He jumps in and tells his fiancé to find someone who loves him. They fall in love on this trip, getting engaged while looking at an early footprint of man. Elephant rams their car on the way back, and they get caught in a tree for the night with a pride of lions feasting on the elephant, before turning their attention to them. They then head to a beach, before reading letters that Gale's aunt wrote to him, insisting that he needs to come home.

The first boat they board gets overturned, then are rescued by a ship that Gale was lucky enough to radio to before getting overturned. They get married on the ship that night, and the next day they get dropped off in Sicily until their next boat. They happen to run into Bucky's ex-fiancé at the restaurant they eat at. He also happens to be on the same boat as them. Stuff happens, and the ex ends up challenging Gale to a duel. Gale doesn't want to, then the guy calls Bucky a whore, then he fights. With swords they duel, and Gale keeps disarming, then the guy pulls a gun, Gale dodges, and the guy ends up jumping off the ship by accident, then drowning. Because of this, Gale ends up being eventually ordered off the ship by the guys father because he's rich. Bucky yells off the ship that he'll meet Gale in Wyoming.

Gale gets a Job on a freighter, where he befriends a guy (could be anyone from the cast, or an oc) after saving him from a guy sexually assaulting him, and also a suicide attempt. He's working to America.

Now, in the show, Alexandra is pregnant. Now, this whole thing can be an omegaverse thing, since this is set not long after ww1, if you want, or it can just be a regular ole no homophobia au.

Anyway, Bucky is being held his ex's family in London, who's trying to get him to annul his marriage with Gale. I forgot to mention, that he met his rich bestie who helped lessen the charge on Gale (maybe this is Marge or Helen or something.) They make a plan to make secure a passage to America for Bucky (and if omegaverse, tells Helen/marge/whoever he's pregnant)

They sell some of Bucky's expensive belongings, planning to lie to his parents about where he is, and plan to book him a second class ticket on the first ship out of there.

(while this is happening Gale and the guy he saved started a fight club on the boat for Gale to earn enough money to get to his family. Then has a run in with the mafia)

Bucky ends up on tourists class. If omegaverse, Bucky writes to Gale about his trip and wanting to have more children with him. He ferries to ellis island, where he's checked for sickness and such because he has no travel papers. If then omegaverse and he's pregnant, he faces some anxiety when getting a more extended medical check up, as he hears pregnant people get sent back. The checking for venerial diseases is hard for him, and despite not showing, it gets found out he's pregnant. The whole process is actually quite difficult for him if he is.

With the help of an elderly man he gets to grand central station to head to Wyoming. He gets robed there, almost missing the train which he has a shared room ticket for.

On a train, while working off a way to be fed, as he had no more money, Bucky gets sexually assaulted by a guy. The first time, he accidentally spills hot water on the guy, and he forces Bucky to wipe it off his pants, holding his hand against his dick. The second time it happens, he defends himself, almost getting arrested for it, until a very nice couple (Ken and Rosie I think would be nice) stands up on his behalf, because they saw what happened. He needs to make a statement the next day and the train is canceled, so he has nowhere to go. Ken and Rosie invite him to stay with them in Winnetka (or something) after running into him and seeing him cry. He shares his love story with the two of them, and Ken, missing adventure as he grew up on a farm, and Rosie, who loves Ken dearly, decide to help Bucky get to Wyoming.

Now, when it gets down to it, I don't want to give Ken and Rosie the same fate as the nice rich couple in the show. Now, either they ignore the gas station attendant's advice like in the show and get caught in the storm, but they prepared for it with shit they could get at the gas station, and they do the fire thing that Alex did. Or, they listen to the attendants warning, sell the car, get train tickets, and go to Wyoming that way. Maybe they get caught up in the family BS, and if omegaverse, he gives birth and interrupts the BS. Rosie and Ken end up buying a plot of land there for vacationing, as well as maybe a firm there in the event they move there full time or maybe get caught in an early winter or something. Gale and Bucky's child(ren) grow up excited to see the Rosenthal's and their child(ren)

Back in may I posted this (Link) about turning the Spencer/Alexandra relationship into a Clegan fanfic. I've kind of changed my mind a bit and kind of want to do Buddie fanfic.

Like, Eddie being in Africa because of his and Shannon's divorce, and also wanting be financially stable enough for Chris to get the education/support system he needs while also avoiding Shannon. He gets letters from his family, only ever reading the ones Chris sends him. So, he travels from village to village in Africa, protecting the villages using skills he got in WW1, which he's obviously traumatized from, and getting paid fairly well to do so.

He has his chance meeting with Buck, who is in an arranged marriage (with Tommy?), and Buck flirts with him a bit. (now, in my other post, again linked above, I mentioned this could be set in omegaverse or a no homophobia type situation, but now I think maybe a Carrier universe might also work.) In the flirting, if carrier-verse, Eddie notes that Buck is a carrier (maybe his birthmark is a sign, or maybe there's something else to indicate that he is that's noticeable to Eddie.)

When Eddie says he’s leaving for his next job, Buck chases down his car, jumps in, and tells Tommy to find someone who truly loves him. On their trip they fall in love, get engaged at an early human footprint site, survive an elephant ramming their car, and spend the night trapped in a tree while lions feast below. Later on a beach, Buck reads Shannon's and aunt Papa's letters, eventually learning that Shannon has died, and his parents plan to take Christopher to El Paso before he returns. (They’re in L.A. because Shannon moved there for her parents, then stayed with Eddie’s aunt after the divorce. Also yes, I want an excuse to eventually put Buck in a snowstorm.)

Around this time Alexandra realizes she’s pregnant, so if Buck can get pregnant in this verse, he is. Meanwhile, Buck’s family keeps him in London, trying to annul his marriage to Eddie. Maddie (still with Doug) secretly helps him, and if carrier/omegaverse, Buck tells her he’s pregnant. He asks her to come with him, but she refuses for now. Together they pawn some of his valuables, lie to their parents about his whereabouts, and plan for him to book a second-class ticket on the first ship out.

Buck ends up in tourist class. If pregnant, he writes to Eddie about wanting more kids and meeting Chris. At Ellis Island, again if pregnant, he’s anxious during medical checks since pregnant people risk being sent back. Despite not showing, his pregnancy is discovered, making the process even harder.

He shares his love story with the two of them, and one of them (Athena or Karen) missing adventure, and their partner who loves them dearly decides to help Buck get to L.A.

I don't want whichever couple that helps Buck die (even if it may be accurate in Bobby's case), so either: 1) they ignore the gas station attendant, get caught in the storm, but survive by prepping with supplies + doing the fire trick like Alex, 2) they listen, sell the car, and take a train to L.A, or 3) there’s no snowstorm at all. Still, I love the idea of Buck blowing up a car to get Eddie’s attention, even if inadvertently. So maybe he almost freezes to death on the way to L.A, then eventually ends up right in the middle of Eddie’s parents trying to take Chris. He might have the baby early, but the child survives. Buck sends Maddie a picture of him, Eddie, Chris, and the baby, which gives her the courage to finally leave Doug. She later meets Chim, and they all get their happily ever after.

The approach of footsteps did not bring the promise of friendship and light conversation; no, over the past several years, Benjamin had learned to consider noise -- any noise -- a threat.

Adapting to life after the w.ar had been strained, difficult, so he'd done what any coward would do: he'd packed his bags and traveled out west, no longer able to face his father and friends in the aftermath. In his lap, his hand not gripping the whiskey started to shake, and once a gentle hand came to his shoulder -- gentleness could never be trusted -- Benjamin resisted the urge to take the offending appendage and slam it onto the bar.

But once no violence came -- once no blades nor pistols were drawn and he heard the soft, dulcet tones of a woman, the air slowly returned to Benjamin's lungs and he straightened, taking a generous swallow from his glass.

Nearly dribbling over himself, he cleared his throat and set aside the drink. "Your friends?" he echoed, a hint of confusion lancing his tone. Even the concept of love and friendship was foreign to him now -- people still got along and loved one another?

Finally, a husky laugh caught in his throat and he swiveled to face the other, further disbelief lighting up his face once he realized the blonde was both pretty and sober.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not for hire," he said, offering a nod toward the giggling, whispering women in the far corner of the room. "I'm assuming that's why they sent you? In these parts, I'm known for being a teacher."

Was, he inwardly corrected -- he was a teacher. Nobody in their right mind would let him tend a classroom now.
