theres smth i need to get off my chest but not in a pity-seeking way, just the hard cold truth i hope some ppl can relate to!
thing is, my medication is absolutely ruining my creativity✌️✌️ i have been on antipsychotics for 2 years now, which dont get me wrong has TREMENDOUSLY improved my ability to function, sleep, even allowed me to have very successful job experiences! but my god has it killed my ability to imagine things 🤯
and maybe i am completely wrong here, but i feel like that's starting to show in my art... i used to be able to quickly think and whip something up for drawing requests in the past, but now i feel like ive hit a peak in how much slower ive become and thats why i suddenly noticed it. i feel the same about art school assignments, i no longer feel adhd taking over and sending 10000000 thoughts per second into my brain for me to just reach up and grab, and i rly miss that lol. i miss feeling excited to explore all those ideas i would get from a simple prompt and i feel like a part of me has been permanently cut off
i recently asked for an adjustment in my treatment, so i'll see how it goes. maybe none of what i just talked about was even noticeable to any of you, but i felt like it was important to me to give a little update on how life's going for me! and tysm for reading my whole rant 🧟♂️
