👀👀👀
send me a “👀” for an unpopular roleplay opinion.
why are people so afraid to play the villain ? or when they do, they don’t commit to it, and try so hard to make their character perfect and likeable anyways. let other characters dislike/hate your character ! let your character look bad and make shitty mistakes ! let your character have tension and conflict with other characters ! people forget that character development is a thing sometimes.
why isn’t it more common for people to have connections pages, where their character’s plots with other characters in the rp are listed ? i can’t even tell you the amount of times i’ve plotted something with a mun, only for them to have a plot with someone else that conflicts with what we plotted and it becomes very ooc for my character. like maybe jane wouldn’t have dated sarah if i’d known that jane’s sister also dated sarah ??
can people stop using ooc knowledge in ic ? your character isn’t all-knowing and please don’t try to justify it by saying your character has ‘ good intuition ’. it’s called metagaming luv and it’s just as bad as godmodding. if you’re not sure whether or not your character knows smth, then just ask !
