RE 2 as a movie poster.
Starring Leon Kennedy (2019, 1998 and pixel 2019)
I started crafting recently because I have too many dusty old craft supplies just laying around. And since I have a renewed obsession with one of my oldest fandoms, I thought why not make some 1/6 scale versions of classic RE2 doors to go with my 1/6 scale RE2 Leon? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
supplies: backing from an 8.5 x 11 inch dollar store frame, masking tape, wood glue, canvas paper, corn dog sticks, BBQ skewers, modeling paste, gesso, dollar store craft paints, love
*please reblog to show support. do not re-upload*
KENDO!!! Door #3 in my 1/6 scale classic RE2 door project (a.k.a. my mission to use up all my dusty old craft supplies), plus a bonus group photo of all three completed doors so far.
supplies: backing from an 8.5 x 11 inch dollar store frame, masking tape, wood glue, canvas paper, free card stock (a.k.a. frozen pizza box / cookie box / etc), sheet of plastic from one of those big envelopes with the window in them, dollar store craft paints, love

RPD Main Entrance!!! Door #4 in my 1/6 scale classic RE2 door project (a.k.a. my mission to use up all my dusty old craft supplies).
I can’t not hear the Main Hall theme song when I see these doors. #nostalgia
supplies: backing from an 8.5 x 11 inch dollar store frame, masking tape, wood glue, construction adhesive, canvas paper, free card stock (a.k.a. frozen pizza box / cat food box / etc), tinted acetate folder, dollar store craft paints, love

okay I have to ask: who did Capcom do to you 21 years ago
RE: my tags on this post
Leon ‘adorable baby cop’ Kennedy happened to me 21 years ago.
The year was 1998. I was 17 (almost 18) and I was just getting back into video games thanks to a new-ish console called the Sony Playstation. I played the very first Resident Evil and loved it, so i was super excited for Resident Evil 2 (starring 2 completely new characters not seen in RE1) and oh boy I was not disappointed. Even tho Leon looked like the picture on the left at the time,
I just immediately loved this character [insert “if you didn’t love me at my - then you don’t deserve me at my - “ joke here]. He’s a precious precious bean who cares about doing what’s right and saving as many people as he can (while also being a secret badass with an occasional side of sass).
Watching this character grow older and evolve throughout his games over the past 2 decades has been a lot of fun.
He’s gone from Leon ‘adorable baby cop’ Kennedy in Resident Evil 2 (1998) to Leon ‘sassy CIA agent’ Kennedy in Resident Evil 4 (2005)…
to Leon ‘gettin real tired of Umbrella Corporation’s or whatever tf they’re calling themselves these days shit’ Kennedy in Resident Evil 6 (2012)…
and I just love every incarnation of him so very very much. And no matter how old or grumpy he gets, he’s still a precious bean who cares about doing what’s right underneath it all. <3
So yeah, Capcom remaking RE2 this year caught me by surprise since i haven’t been keeping up with the games or games news at all in my old age *stares sadly at giant pile of dusty PS1, PS2, PS3 games she still hasn’t played*
I ended up watching playthrough videos on youtube and sat there with my mouth hanging open bc the whole game looks AMAZING!!! All these locations I remember very clearly from the original 1998 game now rendered in hyper realistic detail…it brought back a lot of feels, feels I didn’t know were still in there, buried deep down in my withered old heart. *clutches chest* I might finally have to buy a PS4 because of this goddamn game!!! How dare you, Capcom! HOW DARE!
So yeah, TL;DR - Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 remake (2019) rudely reminded me that I still love Leon Scott Kennedy, making him my longest ongoing fictional character crush at 2+ decades!
sidenote: my love for Leon explains A LOT about why I’m so obsessed with Steve Rogers, holy moly! Sooooo many parallels. Clearly, I have a type.
