One Day for Design Deep-Dive by doublethink
It's not exactly what we are waiting for from AIGA, but Doublethink did a great job at some interesting comparisons and analysis of One Day for Design.
I, like many other tweeters I saw that day, wish we could have had a more structural conversation to follow, so this data is really nice to see.
Unique/interesting stats they have: number of times individual words were said, such as designers 625 & clients 449, do, don't, yes, no, maybe... very cool stuff :)
It was awesome to participate in this discussion on April 13th! #1D4D Here are some of the highlights from the discussion (and some more info below!)
On April 13, 2011, we brought designers and followers of design together for One Day For Design—an open, global dialogue on the meaning and future of design, and on the meaning and future of professional associations in our field. Led by our eight moderators, it was an astonishing 24 hours of input. More than 30,000 tweets. Nearly 3,900 Twitterers. More than 650 hashtags tweeted. At one point, we ranked as the number-four trending hashtag on Twitter in the United States. Visitors to this site posted more than 300 entries on our blog.
Below is a tiny sample of the passionate voices and insightful comments we heard. Where do we go from here? The group input will contribute to the evolution of AIGA, the world’s largest design advocacy organization, as we explore ways to better serve the needs of the design community. To watch the evolution unfold, visit aiga.org.
Don’t worry about people stealing your design work. Worry about the day they stop.

Can we design a better understanding of design? The Living Principles are meant to help us understand design is not about a deliverable. It's about people and our interaction with any level of design. #1D4D
Saw this exhibit while in San Fran a few weeks back... exhibit book designed by Abbott Miller. What was I thinking not picking up the book! I may have to order it now after the fact. #1D4D
