It's not a coincidence that Dooku suddenly vanishes into thin air and that Senator Palpatine dies a few weeks later. Nico's determined to figure out what's with the sudden change in his old friend, and to bring him back for answers.

(Dooku, on the other hand, is not quite sure what to do with the tinier, bitey version of Darth Maul, after his assassination of Palpatine, and he's a little lost on what to do after completing his revenge. Going back to the Jedi Order isn't an option for him, but he's willing to take the chance to throw Maul to them and then get going.)

Xanatos kidnaps Cody to annoy Obi-Wan. Cody is enjoying this far too much.

“Obi-Wan is going to break down your door again,” Cody says, even as he tips his head up to let Xanatos slide a berry between his lips, tries to slide a hand up Xanatos’s thigh only to pull up short when the delicate silk ties nominally tying his hands to the armrests of the chair go tight. He could probably break them with a single determined tug, but - well. Where’s the fun in that?

Xanatos snorts, showing his very clear opinion of that. “I redecorated. And added blast doors. Couldn’t you tell?” He leans over Cody, knees tightening a little on either side of his hips, and this time when he slides a bright blue fruit between Cody’s lips, Cody nips at his fingertips, hears Xanatos’s breath catch just faintly and smirks. 

“Was I supposed to be looking somewhere else?” he asks, deliberate, and Xanatos’s smile is wickedly delighted. 

“Kidnapping you, Commander, is the highlight of my dastardly career,” he says, pleased, and leans in, even as the blast doors in the distance give way with a crash.
