After a brief holiday hiatus... we're continuing this preview series featuring stories from 21 different men who are part of The Bristlecone Community. In this soundbite, Bill Martin (16 of 21) discusses his journey. Having spent the first four years of his life moving between foster homes, Bill was already saddled with deep feelings of rejection. And over the course of his childhood, he was sexually abused by multiple perpetrators - his uncle, piano teacher, and neighbor. Bill is finding his path to healing in various ways: through journaling, meditation at the foot of the ocean, and music. Sitting at the piano, Bill mentions, “[playing piano] feels like therapy. It really is healing, because I control the music and what comes out."
