By his divine power, he has lavished on us, all the things we need for life and for true devotion, through the knowledge of him, who has called us, by his own glory and goodness. Through these, the greatest and priceless promises have been lavished on us, that through them, you should share the divine nature and escape the corruption in a world that is sunk in vice.

Love comes from God

Love comes from God and He Himself is love. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7 NIV All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus' precious name ! The Almighty God's love for the mankind is expressed as 'agape' in Greek. From the Bible, we could make out that our God's love is immeasurable, matchless, pure and pristine. In fact, we do not have words to fully describe this quality of God. Very importantly, love is the key attribute of God. And we receive it from Him. Even from the subject verse, we could say that it is the most important attribute that every child of God also possess. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8 NIV From the very next verse of the subject verse, it says that God is love. Moreover, those who do not love does not know God. Is it not pricking our hearts ? The quality that God wants in us is indeed this love. This attribute plays an important role in our spiritual life. Unless we have this attribute in us, we cannot proceed in doing the will of God. For it is very much required if we are to follow the below mentioned commandments of the Lord. Loving Heart is a Giving Heart. #2

Giving has a strong relationship with our knowledge of God. The more you get to know God, the more you give. There is something that giving does to us, and that is causing a shift in our mindedness and dependence.  Joel Osteen said, “When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance.” There is a giving that ensures that we don’t depend on ourselves, but rather, on the God who made us all and caters for all well being.  Read the full article
