I read so many articles pre-hiatus that said Niall Horan’s solo career wasn’t going to exist. he had an ‘ensemble voice’, he didn’t have ‘stage charisma’, he was more of ‘backer’ not a singular standing star. 

Niall wasn’t on a ‘rising musicians to watch for’ list. he isn’t riding any hype, he didn’t get any. he worked for this. he was given room to create and live up to his full potential, and he’s kicking ass. he’s proven himself as an artist.
