Tagged, Writing Edition

1) How many works in progress do you currently have?
Currently three fanfics, two novels, and one drabble collection if it can be considered a WIP
2) Do you/would you write fanfiction?
Hell yeah. I write so much fanfiction. Pretty much exclusively for Yu Yu Hakusho. Love fanfic. Love to read it, write it, caress it, give it loving looks.
3) Do you prefer paper books or ebooks?
Physical copies for life. I will read ebooks, I have nothing inherently against them other than its hard for me to read full length novels that way (I say as someone who routinely reads fanfiction on my phone/laptop).
4) When did you start writing?
As a wee child. But I realized I *wanted* to write when I was in the fifth grade. So, about 11 years old? I started drafting all sorts of stories and poetry and stuff.
5) Do you have someone you trust that you share your work with?
Yup. I have a few close friends I’ll share my personal projects with. They help me a lot with editing and revisions. Honestly, I’d be stagnate without them.
6) Where is your favorite place to write?
Either in my comfy chair or at the kitchen table.
7) Favorite childhood book?
Oooh. Harry Potter comes to mind. I really loved the series and they are the few books I’ve reread over the years.
8) Wrting for fun or publication?
Both. I write for me, and also because one day I hope to be published.
9) Pen and paper or computer?
Both. I draft and outline by hand and tend to use the computer to finalize things. Though, lately I’ve been doing more and more on my laptop. Most ideas are scribbled onto paper first though.
10) Have you ever taken any writing classes?
Creative writing classes in high school and college. Some Lit classes. I found them helpful for learning about style and how to apply it to myself.
11) What inspires you to write?
Movies, books, decent photographs or art, quotes. I can be triggered into a writing frenzy by anything, really, but a lot of times it’s a moment or a song that will inspire me. Sometimes an idea just sort of escalates in my head because I see something I find interesting.
