In a universe where Qianyu goes back 800 years later he realised time on earth never passed. His family never missed him and no-one noticed he was gone because to them, he'd never left.
But Qianyu did. He's no longer the same person he was 1 second ago because it was 800 years to him.
His family loves him, but why does he feel so different? Why does he cry over a plate of sunny side ups? How would he explain he lived a nigh infinite lifetime in the blink of an eye?
How does it feel to wake up from another life and then discover that it was just a vivid dream? God he didn't even know if that was real. He's here right now, sure that dream looked so real and felt so real. He could have been there but he is here now, and surely it meant that that life of a god never existed.
Don't be too hard on yourself, I do think you are doing great character wise and worldbuilding wise
And from an artist to artist I understand the need to live up to your own expectations and create the best thing you can
But I just want to tell you that you're doing great already so keep it up I enjoy it and love it from the bottoms of my heart <3

Nevertheless, i probably write and draw mostly for external validation. Frankly speaking i usually hate everything i put out, especially when it comes to my writing lol.
It's genuinely difficult to understand what's likeable about it, but if making stuff makes people happy, i will keep doing it despite what i think of my own creations. I've somewhat accepted the fact that i will never like my own creations, so as long as it serves the true purpose of making others happy, I'm satisfied enough lol
I believe that if enough people like what i make, then one day, maybe, I'll learn to enjoy what i created.

But in your defense, Callen doesn't really try to worship him or dehumanise him that much compared to other minor characters. In any case I'm considering finished chp 12 and then reworking the story from the start because i need an idea of how the world works before putting my characters in it, as I've learnt far too late...

Idk about the others but I have faith in Qianyu, even though he seems more done with this shit the more progress there is in the story

Fun fact: eggs has the most scrapped story concepts because i change the lore too often after writing, which makes the entire premise of the draft invalid due to worldbuilding incompatibility. This is heartbreaking because prior to said major lore change, Qianyu was not isolated from the rest of society. Unfortunately i like lonely people too much, and the purpose of Ying'an would diminish a lot more if there were others to interact with

You know. when i wrote eggs i didn't intend that to be a running gag at first, it just felt like the most reasonable reaction at that moment. It's also his tiny way of preserving his humanity among other things.
Callen wanting to throw rocks was an intentional gag though.
And i won't delete it, I'll just private it and have the link on my pinned so only those who were intentionally looking for it can access it i guess.

Actually the absence of Qianyu's name adds to his dehumanization because like you said he's just a guy but they never treat him as such and that deprived him of his name in a way

You're a bit too correct on the dehumanisation lol. The jig is that nobody has ever cared/been curious enough to ask for his name, so it goes unknown. This also goes for the reader: i don't yet plan on revealing his name in a story, but if someone cared enough to ask, they get the answer, no strings attached. yes I've been waiting for someone to ask for his name the entire time 🥀
Personally i also see names as a representation for one's identity, and to strip someone the privilege of their name is to disregard their personhood altogether. That's exactly what Qianyu (and Evans) go through, so their names weren't revealed to other characters. The difference being that Evans still sees himself as a person, thus he keeps his name in his POVs, but Qianyu, after living longer than what is normal for an ordinary human, struggles to see himself as just some normal guy since he no longer is one and has not been one for so, so long.
Don't worry too much about the secret post. I drew some gt while thinking of Ying'an so he technically has art now (my art posts with Asian styled clothing) but they're not canon and it's definitely not his final design. I intentionally never described their appearance because i haven't settled on one 🥀
The emperor didn't handpick Ying'an himself. He doesn't care, someone delegated to run all the menial tasks did by random stroke of chance. In the meantime, i haven't decided if Ying'an had a reason to be chosen, so I can't really answer beyond that lol
In regards to what Qianyu had done in the past:

I believe that on a fundamental level, 2g1k and eggs are not so far apart in concept. Both giants are humans stranded on rip off Lilliput and are dehumanised and deified, unable to go home, denied of their personal identity.
2g1k was my first attempt in writing a GT story, aiming to express the simple fun of GT, and such it's not well thought out and there's a lot of problems i haven't addressed yet. Eggs had a similar concept because I wanted to touch on the emotional part of what gt is to me that i can't yet do in 2g1k, and so is more abstract in nature (at least it's what i believe). But eggs started out very different than what it is now today in terms of world building.

Officially speaking it's a job so you're not totally wrong lol. He does receive a salary and stuff, but he almost never gets to use it, because the job is... unusual. Everyone just considers it as a sacrifice because it's the kind of job nobody wants to do thus someone (the emperor) has to force someone into the role. Plus you can't quit the job either, which makes it more unappealing.
At least that's the the future situation. Ying'an is the first person ever to be appointed with this role (subject to change), so whatever he does kind of sets the precedent for following "sacrifices". The emperor made up this role, so he doesn't actually care who was sent as long as *someone* was sent. Anyone from any background could be sacrificed, but some more than others. A new one would be sacrificed once the current one dies.
I have revealed the god's name in a secret post somewhere in fact lol. He's just a regular person before all this shit happened to him anyway. I just like keeping him mysterious because it's fun for the story and because i don't really like the current name I've thought for him. It's 迁宇 (Qianyu), and it can somewhat loosely mean "to move across universes". Hmm i wonder how he got here...
He wasn't a god of anything at first, he earned the title of being the god of war/death (stc) later on.

Technically, he no longer has the privilege to get a life or hobbies, his entire existence is sacrificed to the "god". Obviously he still gets the chance to do stuff he likes anyway though.
He enjoys trying new foods and eating in general. He only started learning how to cook after he was sacrificed though. His favourite food is satay (not a kebab!) since it reminds him of good times before life changed for the worse.
