1st Entry for 2nd Quarter: Uno-Dos
Wow! We’re on our 2nd quarter! Isn’t it funny to think about how fast this journey has been? As if it was only yesterday when I woke up mad because it was too early for me, and now I’m so used to it, and to top this S.Y. off, a very disruptive event occurred, 2020 sure is full of surprises. So in the past week a strong typhoon named Ulysses, made its presence felt as strong wind and ridiculous floods disrupted some areas of the country. And we? Well we are very lucky that we only experienced heavy rainfall and short power disruption. And for the whole week the classes were suspended, and what did I do in that large time span? Well I played ML as a beginner, surprisingly I am good at it and reached epic rank in the first week. Many of us have hobbies, and for me this isn’t it, maybe the graphics and game mechanics is just captivating for someone like me. We all needed a break from all the academic stress, and to finally have something to put my mind into just for fun really helps. However in some games I didn’t felt the joy in playing as losing is part of the experience. I do have a theory on why we lost, lack of communication. I know that games such as this isn’t worth the attention, but a simple concept of a team game is the need for communicating every move you make. With that in mind, I queued a ranked match and applied my observation. In this particular game, my teammates are ready to back me up wherever I am. And thru the use of proper communication skills, we managed to get the victory multiple times, and now in an easier fashion.
