It was to be expected to happen at least once. People often didn’t pay much mind as they opened doors-especially if they couldn’t see what was on the other side-but the rarity of doors that opened in or out, that swung, made the chances less.
The fact that the base had those doors made the chances more.
Either way it didn’t matter the chances when Chirrut was knocked onto his behind by a door opening up suddenly, with far to much force in his opinion, and slammed into him.
It almost felt as if the Force was laughing at him, it could just be Baze laughing from the other side of the base, somehow knowing this had happened.
“Please watch where you’re going. Force bless, that hurts.” he groaned, a hand holding onto his chin and nose, those having taken the force of the hit and his lip was bleeding now.
“Oh my gosh! Oh my goodness gracious, I’m so sorry!” Charlie apologized, eyes wide. “I’m so sorry, I tripped and fell and the door flew open. Here, um, here’s a handkerchief, want me to get something else? Like ice? I’m SO sorry!”
