Today marks one year since you left this world and travel to heaven. I can't believe it's been a year. I love and miss you so much. You remind all of us that it's ok to be ourselves. You brought me closer to God. You remind us how important it is to have opinions especially ones backed up by facts from reliable sources and that it's both ok to agree to disagree or to change your mind based off new information brought up in a discussion. You blessed us all with your passion and your talents (especially in music and speech). There are days I miss your smile but then I see something that reminds me of you like animals or even silly memes. There are days I miss your voice but hear it from the wind through the trees or in a group of people singing. There are days I miss your leadership, but then I look around and see all of the work you did while you were here and how you changed so many lives. There are days I miss you but then I remember all of the things you taught me and that I always have 2 tokens of you with me: my rainbow fish tattoo in your memory and the bi pride friendship bracelet you made me a couple years ago. Rachel, I miss and love you so much. I'm sad that you are no longer here in this journey physically with me, but I'm so beyond thankful that you were and how much you taught me.
