"E-I-E-I-Oooo!"

Yes, last evening, I finally heard D sing (continuously) "E-I-E-I-O" from the kid's song "Old MacDonald Had A Farm". The reason why it's note-worthy is that when he was a baby, he could only 'sing' "Eee-yah eee-yah.." tunelessly.

So am a proud mommy that he can finally sing it in tune and with the "O" at the end! Yay! Can't wait to hear what other 'words' he'll start blabbing soon :-D

D + Medicine = Lots of Like?

I swear, D must be the only child I know who gets so happy at the thought of eating his medicine (fever, running nose & cough). I've been feeding him the medley of meds lately just before he sleeps as he's been sniffing and coughing and his mucus have been flowing freely like twin rivers down his nose.

Every time I get ready to prepare the syringes of meds, he will toddle over quickly to the table on his tiny feet, voluntarily place his precious pacifier on the table, and CLAP HIS HANDS in anticipation. *cue in an incredulous look from me*

If that's not hilariously crazy, I don't know what that is. I'm torn between bafflement and laughter. Haha!

So D had been sick since Saturday (5 days ago) and today was the first day that he went back to school. Surprisingly there were no tears (we anticipated some reluctant wailing).

When the teacher asked him to open his mouth for inspection of possible HFMD ulcers, he stuck his tongue out instead. So the teacher explained that all she needed to see was the insides of his mouth and the tongue was not needed, but he stuck his tongue out again (he probably didn't understand the difference between the tongue and the mouth in general hahaha!). 

I really hope little D will get well soon and enough with those fevers!

Fragility of a baby…
