As we enter the final month of 2001, Jack isn’t too thrilled with Kathy staying with him even if it is for a few days (‘kidnapping is a serious offense’) worrying he could be charged for harboring her if word gets out. Edna isn’t doing so well with getting signatures for her anti-phone mast initiative. Elsa’s character is considered quite low by certain villagers as she bemoans Kathy. Jack lets Andrew know Kathy is staying at his to ease his worry. Jack offers his viewpoint to Kathy on kids being taken away based on circumstances.
