Smith Rock near Bend Oregon was the halfway photo in the 365 project, but is also one of my favorite photos from last year. I shot this at sunrise.
The hike to Yosemite point for sunset was one of the highlights of last year. The Yosemite valley is one of the coolest places in the world and sitting on the edge of a 3,000 foot granite face, dangling my feet, enjoying the view and shooting photos is tough to beat! Of all the places I traveled last year, Point of the Arches on the Olympic peninsula is near the top of my list. The fact that it takes 4.5 hours of driving, 2 hours of walking and that it rains 300 days a year makes it difficult to reach, but when you get a sunny day, it can’t be beat.
