Labrador (R) Wins

     Raul Labrador has just won his third term as Representative for Idaho's 1st Congressional District. Unfortunately, Labrador's campaign site failed to update the wonderful news as the most recent news only discusses an ice cream social sponsored by Labrador's team. This worries me about the future of the state of Idaho, that all Labrador appeared to do during his campaign is provide ice cream for voters, but I suppose that only time will tell what allowing him a third term will mean for the citizens of Idaho.

Shirley Ringo's Concession

     After a long and hard fought race Shirley Ringo (D) lost to incumbent Raul Labrador (R). Labrador won by a wide margin of 65% to 35%. On her campaign website Ringo states that while they may have lost the election, they laid the groundwork for more Idahoans to have their voices heard and create change for the state. However, it will be a few more years before anyone can judge if Ringo's belief will come to fruition.
