Shaving has always been something I'm uncomfortable with- besides the physical discomfort of razor burn, it's easy for an obsessive personality to take a simple everyday task and turn it into an unhealthy obsession. For most of 2015, I stopped shaving, gave myself permission to stop fixating on my body and let it be, but I hid under sweaters in the summer, constricted my movement to make sure no one saw. It was every bit as much effort to hide as it was to shave. 2016 will be different. I refuse to be ashamed of keeping the hair nearly 100% I humans have and which men are allowed to keep without question. Instead of tolerating my body in its natural state, I will embrace it and love it and have fun with it. Let the world see and let the world snicker or wrinkle their noses. If I can support other women's choices for a living, I can stand proud myself. I think my mint green armpits are lovely and fun and Faye's, and anything that makes my life even a little brighter and easier is worth it. #dyedarmpits #2016willbemyyear #noshame #bodypositive
