Eagles players react on Twitter to Jason Peters and Jordan Hicks' injuries

The Eagles suffered two huge blows to their offensive and defensive units during Monday night’s 34-24 victory over the Redskins.

It was confirmed on Tuesday that left tackle Jason Peters suffered a torn ACL and MCL and linebacker Jordan Hicks ruptured his right Achilles tendon. Both will be out for the remainder of the season.

Eagles to rely on Chance Warmack to be top backup at guard

On Saturday the Eagles gave offensive guard, Chance Warmack, a one-year contract extension through the 2018 season. Warmack signed a one-year deal before OTAs after being released by the Tennessee Titans.

It is likely that Warmack will serve as the back up to Isaac Seumalo and Brandon Brooks this season, but this can open the door for the former first-round pick by the Titans.

David Akers to be inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame

David Akers, arguably the greatest Eagles kicker of all time, will be inducted into the franchise’s Hall of Fame during the Eagles Monday Night Football match up with the Redskins.

Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon at the Taking Flight for Autism fundraiser at Lincoln Financial Field. He talked about the kicker’s rich legacy with the organization.
