So. Vlive from 170423. The curiousest thing happened at the end. Taehyung wanted Jungkook to end the broadcast already, so they could have what official subs called a “private conversation”. K-army went wild. It even trended for a while on Korean Twitter. Before the official subs were out, noranb_ on Twitter translated it as a “cozy conversation”. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but apparently those words are pretty suggestive and imply a lot that’s not obvious to English speaking people. (I imagine it’s like “netfix and chill” and how that would confuse non-native English speakers worldwhile.) Eventually lots of other people asked their Korean friends what it meant, and posted the surprising results!
So what does it mean??
According to a few different translators:
* It's something sweet you say to your special someone. (Source)
* It's not something you say to friends. It's like asking your boyfriend for cuddles. (Source)
* To have a romantic time together, could imply sex. (Source)
* People who are dating say this. Can be slang for making out?? (Source)
* When used for something between two people it comes across as romantically charged. (Source)
So is this proof of anything? Nah, not really. I mean, this is Tae we're talking about. He says pretty out there things occasionally. Interesting though is Jungkook's few seconds of gaping like a fish after that statement, and that Jimin merely smiled. Neither of them went "what are you even saying??" or “don’t say things like that so casually!” like they usually do when Tae gets creative with the words. That’s what makes this interesting.
