2017 Sep - TP Run to Tallinn: Day 4 - Sat 07 Oct 2017 - London Heathrow to Manchester
Arrived in to T5 and there was no one in ePassport Control, so I was straight through, even though the machine threw a wobbly on me to start with. Then it was up to Departures and through the First Wing.
Initial boarding scan was a bit of a shambles, and I had to have a new boarding card printed. Even that took three goes before it allowed me through in to the security screening area. However there was no queue as there was the last time I came through, so security took 2 mins.
Flight: BA1404 Equip: A320 Sched Depart: 20:30 Actual: 20:27 Sched Arrival: 21:30 Actual: 21:24 Takeoff: 20:42 Landing: 21:14
I was in the CCR just 25 mins after walking out of the aircraft in T3. That;s not bad going.
I noticed that the wifi was pittifully slow, especially compared to the free Helsinki airport wifi which was as fast as anything! It's a shame that we don't seem to offer good quality wifi in the UK at service areas like the lounges in Heathrow.
Headed down to Gate A22 for baording my final flight up to Manchester. There doesn't seem to be that much interest in queuing nowadays on domestic flights (based on recent experience), so I was on my tod until about 2 mins before boarding commenced.
On in to seat 1D, and I dozed all the way up to Manchester!
We arrived in to Gate 143 and the auto stand guidance system didn't work, so there was a minor hold up, whilst some guys came out to manually direct the aircraft on to the stand.
From there it was a short walk up to the top floor of the T3 short stay car park, and back off to see my lovely Vick waiting dutifully for me.
