I'm so fucking thankful I've gotten into pro wrestling through Tumblr because I feel like this is a safe space to say that my favorite match I've ever seen is the 2020 Stadium Stampede, because like, holy shit, it's so great and I love it. Like what do you mean Hangman Adam Page rides in on a horse? Like what???? I'm watching this for the first time because I found out about through watching an AEW history video. I didn't know AEW was such a new promotion, but thank God they are, they've uploaded a selection of their full older matches, including this absolutely batshit one. One of the announcers called it "a hockey fight disguised as a wrestling in an NFL stadium, and that's 10 minutes into a 30-odd minute match. Even only somewhat knowing these wrestlers' story/future (having watched them more recently), I can tell so much about the characters and their dynamics. I'm gnawing on the story and the chaos.
Editing to add the link if you want to know what I'm rambling out btw, it's about 35 minutes of pure chaos throughout the Jackonsville Jaguar's stadium lol
