A fogadó feletti Lauberhornról indul a Lauberhornrennen, a világ leghosszabb downhill síversenye. 160 km/h a csúcssebesség a 4,4 km-es pályán.

Eiger

Vettem a fogadós gyerekeitől (három kiskamasz svájci koordinálja a házi sajtjuk és jégkrémek eladását) csokis Emmi Cornettit, és elnyaltam a kilátóban. Berni márka, helyi csokoládéból. Kiváló, akárcsak az egyre jobban terjedő Nestlé/Froneri-féle Nuii.

Az Alpok a berni felföldön nagyon meg van vetemedve. A rendszeres omlások miatt kis Kubota útmunkagépek álltak a túraút mellett, hogy azt újra szabaddá tegyék, ha a csúszó szikla eltorlaszolná.

Miközben a röstire vártam, a Jungfrau alatt már feltűnt Kleine Scheidegg.
