On this day, one year ago...

Today was the day I took off to Japan. It was my first time flying alone, and I've never flown so far before. The people next to me were a really nice couple. Unfortunately, I started to feel ill midway through the flight. It was very hot and I think it was a mix of stress and overheating that made me feel bad. Plus, I couldn't eat much of the food on the plane.

The air hostesses were such lovely Japanese people. They took care of me and let me lie down in the break/food area, pretty much for the rest of the flight. They were so kind and considerate even though I was being such a pain. I treasured their kindness so much. It meant the world to me.
