Polwarth/silk (80/20), 50g, 90m. Longdraw on a drop spindle, then chain plyed from a centre pull ball.
Around 15m per colour block.
Stash busting, while waiting for the next project worth of braids to arrive in the post. Half a packet of Polwarth, and leftover silk from the rainbow spinning project I did when I was beginning.
I carded 12 rolags, then spun them as one continuous rainbow.
I managed to get all 50g of it on my spindle. I like to do the cop as a centre pull ball. It takes a little longer to wind, but I can pack so much more on than I would be able to otherwise.
I was startled by how quickly the ball built up while I was playing. The cop, at the start of the third colour, was as big as the entire single cop.
The final yarn is so soft. It's a little uneven, but I am quite pleased with it.
