my personal brand

I am an artistically driven worker, striving to use art to bring life to all corners of the world. I believe that art cannot just be looked at, but must also be shared. My abstract views are contrasted with geometric shapes, and, for me, simplicity is the essence of beauty. Through mediums such as baking and photography, I’m able to display my creativity in the things I’m passionate about. I like the use of clean lines and soft colours as I believe it mirrors my quieter, but individual personality. With this, I’m able to explore different concepts and discover new ways to present my ideas. Although I am on the shyer side, I do not hesitate to speak up to protect what I believe in. My socially forward values are reflected in the way I speak, act, and interact with my community. I value equality, trust, and loyalty, and I am not afraid to let others know that. I am constantly collaborating with my peers, hoping to inspire and to be inspired in any way, shape, or form. All in all, I aspire to use my vision of the world to create a better living place for people of all kinds to exist in unity.

          The Netflix documentary, Making a Murder, focuses on the criminal cases of Steven Avery and the justice system.   Steven Avery was convicted of rape in 1985.  He served 18 years of sentence, until DNA evidence proved Steven Avery innocent.  The DNA pointed out another man, who had been a suspect from the beginning, but police decided not to pursue.  Shortly after being released from prison, he was convicted of another crime, murder.  During the trial of Steven Avery, many begin to grow suspicion of the conditions regarding the evidence presented in the court room.  The ten-episode documentary caused great controversy about our justice system.

          I don’t believe people are born to be bad. I believe in John Locke’s philosophy, “we are born with a blank slate.”  We learn from our experiences and surroundings.  We know nothing until we have gone through experiences and gained knowledge, whether that may be good or bad.  We always have the choice to participate in bad behavior or not.  However, those who have suffered from abuse, poor upbringing, lack of social interaction, struggle with mental illness, etc. are more prone to follow the bad behaviors they were surrounded by.  Our experiences play a significant role in becoming who we are.
