COLLECTION(s):
Here is a photograph of part of one of my bookshelves. To me, the human observer, this is a familiar image or picture. I see this when I turn my head to the right of my computer, while I'm sitting at the computer desk.
COLLECTION(s) are an abstract data type. While this is a bookshelf and decidedly NOT a "data type", I see that the two concepts intersect. That is to say, the "container" types that I know and use in theoretical computer science and programming have an affinity with something that I see in everyday life.
It is the same as seeing a line-up at the grocery counter. This is a life situation, a state of affairs, yet at the same time, it has the same "structure" as a data type, in this case perhaps of a "stack" or "queue" type.
That's all. I just want people to learn to SEE data types in their everyday lives, because they really ARE there. You just have to learn to see them. #Datatypes #Assemblage #20YearsOfData #Historiomics #Historiome
