Beer review! El Camino (un)Real. Collaboration with @stonebrewingco @21stamendment and @firestonewalker. Overall, not impressed at all. Dark ale, with chia seeds, fennel seeds, peppercorns and figs. Tastes just like a regular chocolate stout. Don't get any chia seeds (not that you would). No fennel, slight peppercorn at the back, and didn't taste any fig what-so-ever. When I have collaborations I expect something unique and different that nobody has ever done. Granted, this is unique but the overall uniqueness of it doesn't shine through at all. Not to mention that they charge you an arm and a leg at $11.99 for a FOUR pack, not even 6 beers. I expect much much better than this so I am extremely disappointed. Feel like a lot of craft breweries are doing these collaborations now just to increase the price and are getting away from what they were really all about. And that's delicious beer made with care and perfection. But as always, don't knock it till you try it.
