Philippians 1:21
“To live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
What does this verse mean to me? It is the anthem of my life. To live my life solely for Christ. To surrender my life to Him, to do His will and not mine. Not what I want but what He has planned for me. Not to push my own way, to forge my own path but to completely surrender my all to Him.
He knows all that I need, the God of the universe, my Father, my Saviour, my Healer, my Salvation, my source of strength, my hope in this cruel and unfair world. Words can’t express how much I need Him, how thankful I am that He did everything in His power to cleanse me of all my faults, to make me right with the Father.
To live my life for Him is the least I can do. Everything I have, everything I was, everything I will be, I will continue to give to Him. To please Him is my life’s desire. And to share this love of His. To share His goodness in my life, and this free gift of salvation to all. Spreading the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross at Calvary. Believing that He died on the cross for you, in your place as the ultimate sacrifice and the only substitute of our sins. The only person that could make us right with God. A blameless man died in our place. Why? Because He loves us.
But if I were to die, what is there to fear? He conquered death, He conquered everything on that Cross and He emptied the grave. To be with the Father, to be in His presence would be immensely incapsulating. I would just be in awe, praising and worshipping Him!!
