Showing me the new one - "Like it?"
An unfamiliar voice had greated me when I entered the flat. "Max? I think you will like that!"
And sure I did when I followed that nice, deep voice to see this hunk turning around to meas I entered the living room, just wearing those tighty whities I crave so much.
"He even wore those!" Jamie saud, looking down on them, knowing, that this would turn me on even more, sporting a cheeky smile, when he looked up again.
"I'd say they need a very proper fit-check, hun" he smiled, me already stepping closer to do exactly that, and not only...
If I had to guess Zahhak’s entry item, my money’s on a bottle of milk.
AG: Did you just zap Equius into the game? His hive disappeared! [...] AA: y0u were ab0ut t0 be killed by his hive [...] AA: we certainly d0nt need tw0 dead players
The girl’s got jokes! Fitting that she’d indulge in a little gallows humor.
AA: it had t0 g0 this way AG: No! It had to go the way we said it would. I was going to give you the present I convinced him to m8ke for you. Me! It wo8ldn't have got m8de if not f8r me! AG: And then you could have a 8ody again and everyth8ng would 8e fine. Then we could go 8ack to 8eing friends again.
Vriska’s even worse at repressing her guilt than I expected, but it’s obvious that she doesn’t know what to do with it. She seems convinced that if she can just find the right set of actions, she can revert her relationships to their previous state.
This will never work, because - psionics notwithstanding - she can’t force people to reconcile with her. She doesn't seem able to recognize that relationships aren’t a game that she can win with the right cunning strategy. She can’t control Aradia’s feelings, and that lack of control is terrifying to her.
Plus, if she’s really looking for redemption, she needs to realize that it’s not about undoing the wrong she’s done - it’s about not doing any more. As long as she continues to live the life she lives, this cycle will continue - and before it can stop, Vriska will need to face the fact that she’s the one who has to change.
AG: [...] Why would you play with me if you didn't think I was your friend? AA: i d0nt remember
Terezi, probably. I didn’t expect her, of all people, to function as social glue, but she’s the only one that all the other FLARPers had a good relationship with.
AA: y0ure n0t 0n the blue team AG: Oh what the fuuuuuuuuck! AA: y0u were never g0ing t0 be AG: I get it. I finally see now. This is your revenge.
Vriska is comfortable with violence, both physical and social. She knows how to dish it out, and how to receive it. But that’s not what she’s getting from Aradia, and she doesn’t understand why. The only way she can interpret her apathy is as a threat - as the prelude to later violence.
She’s probably been waiting for the other shoe to drop from the moment she learned Aradia was still ‘alive’ - and the fact that is hasn’t dropped yet is messing with her head. Aradia’s apathy is the greatest revenge she could possibly take.
