Okay wow yeah we’re definitely approaching a finale. Episode 12 of Sailor Moon R was uh, pretty much just setup for the finale. The Sailor Soldiers kind of figure out about the Doom Tree, Usagi goes to investigate and winds up being accompanied by Mamoru, the Doom Tree steals Usagi’s energy and doesn’t actually release her by the end of the episode, all the while the Doom Tree is begging for it all to stop as everything goes out of control. A bit hectic, doesn’t give me much to say on its own, but like, it was fun. Also we get what I think is the longest group henshin sequence yet, which is something given that Usagi wasn’t even part of this one. Instead the other 4 just have their entire sequences play out sequentially in full, after a short little intro. Generally when all 5 transform they use the shorter cuts of their sequences, which is why I think this one, even though it doesn’t have every Sailor Soldier, might be the longest one. One thing I’m suddenly curious about is whether or not the Moonlight Knight is in the manga, since this arc is supposedly entirely anime original filler, in which case I don’t know if the Moonlight Knight that was introduced in this arc will like, be explained next episode, or if he’ll kinda stick in onto the next arc, the arc that actually is based off of the manga. I’m hesitant to Google this for fear of spoilers. Uhh, guess I can find out later. But yeah this episode was coolio. Glad to be done with this arc so shortly since tbh even though I’ve been enjoying the individual episodes, I don’t really care about En or Ali and the Cardians are pretty annoying if I’m honest.
“You’re not talking much today.” „I’m not feeling well, my back hurts pretty bad.” „What? Aren’t you a little too young to say that? When you’re 57 like me-” I’m sorry for any inconvenience, Karen, do you want a copy of my MRI results or a phone number to my neurologist? Also, I’d like to take this moment to thank my body for reminding me today that surviving without painkillers for more than 2 weeks is like mission impossible.
All our meditations
Date : 24 August 2019
Duration : 34 minutes at bedtime
Depth :
The quality of last night’s meditation was lower than usual. And I have a tendency to think that the way I think about God through the day has this effect on meditation. Through the working day, if I don’t link my work and work related thoughts to the God-thought, then there is a loss of intensity in the nightly meditation.
And I am not saying that my thoughts about God and my one sided talks with God have achieved any kind of perfection. In fact, I don’t think there is any kind of perfection when it comes to thinking about God.
Thinking as an activity has its limitations. It doesn’t necessarily result into experience. The experience of meditation is enhanced if one enters the session knowing that ‘I have done my best to hold the God thought today, now let’s see how this session is going to help me grow’.
Yesterday’s session sure seems like an evidence of the lack of the God hook. The session went about rudderless. I did the exercises but the super conscious knew that it could do its number on my attention. And it did. I recovered but I couldn’t quite hook my mind onto the purpose of all our meditations.
