emmett put on the finishing touches to his face make up for his freddy costume pleased with how it was looking he peeked around the corner to look at cal. “surprise!” he laughs showing the other his final result of his costume. he was getting more and more excited the closer the ball got to be. “thanks again for agreeing to come with me - you seemed like best choice for a date of course. and even better that we kind of match.” emmett smiled and reached to hold the other’s hand. “i’m excited to go with you.” // @24flocrsx​

Richie was listening to the other complain and his eyes followed their hands as they spoke and he sighed holding out his drink "Here, you clearly need this more than me." He kept his hand out for them and shook his head "Come on we're literally at a party where we're supposed to be having fun, and you're being so reluctant to enjoy yourself that it's sad." He tilted his head curiously at them just taking a moment to assess their body language for a moment before sighing once more "Is there something on your mind that is the reason you're not enjoying yourself? Because obviously, your mind is elsewhere if you clearly can't even let loose enough to finally let go of all the heavy and live in the moment."

emmett was thankful that the baseball season was finally coming to an end. he loved the end of season sometimes because he and the kids could really use the break. the final game was coming to an end and he couldn’t have been more proud of his kids seeing as the made a final homerun. excited emmett smiled wide at the team and couldn’t help but to feel the surge of energy all through the evening. after a victory dinner emmett treated the team to, he was excited to keep the celebration going with calcifer. “did you see them!?” he said happily rushing to the other before taking his face in his hands and pressing a kiss to his lips excitedly. his face full of joy not even registering what he had just done yet.

howl loved having calcifer as a roommate, the two had been friends for so long it was just easy for them to live together without question. ever since cal had been seeing emmett he had been in a better mood then normal. he was mostly in a good mood but howl noticed a pep in his step and how he just seemed genuinely more happy and it was something howl was glad. cal truly deserved the happiness emmett brought to his life. but what really made him notice was one day the two were making breakfast and the tap on howl’s nose making him laugh and smile at the action. “you are extra cheery today hm?” he points out with a small smile playfully with the other before shaking his head a bit. “weirdo.” he teased.

emmett and calcifer both swapped keys to each other’s places, which could be a good and a bad thing. alice and howl often would have another guest in their home but the two were respectful of their roommates and their space. so when emmett had come home from practice with the kiddos and saw calcifer napping in his bed he couldn’t help but to smile to himself. he changed out of his practice clothes into something more comfortable. he wastes no time to slip in behind the other his arms drapping over cal’s middle his head nuzzling up behind his and smiled pressing a kiss to the other’s shoulder. “go back to sleep.” he murmurs to him so they could now nap together.

fionna had a rough day at work, she had coffee thrown at her and just a flurry of just rude customer after customer. it was no surprise, working in the diner there was days like this, fare and few in between given most people in this town were fairly decent people. she had briefly texted her brother about it all before getting home and how annoying it all was. once home she showered and cleaned up making sure to get any trace of coffee off of her. when she was out and dressed she looked around for her twin only to be greeted in their den with a blanket fort. a small smile grew on her lips, this was something they did a lot growing up. “this for me?” she asked as she peeked in seeing her brother inside playing a video game. “move over nerd.” she laughs and slips in to join his side happilt.

fusheng stood next to his motorcycle, arms crossed over his chest as he nervously shifted from foot to foot. he loved his bike and had never allowed anyone else to touch it except someone who worked at the shop. but, now he was trying to convince himself that everything would be okay if he allowed someone to drive it this one time. “now, do you think you can actually do this? because i don’t want you to lie to me and wreck it — and yourself, i guess. i’m fine with driving it and letting you hold onto me,” he said, eyes watching them and almost begging them to back down at this point.

snap wasn’t expecting anyone to bet on him if he were honest — almost hoping that would be the case. but, with the news, he knew he had to follow through. plus, the other didn’t see too bad. he wasn’t a weirdo at least. he decided to bring the other to the hangar, unveiling his personal small plane. he’d put one of the helmets onto the other’s head, making sure it was perfectly snug before the two climbed into the plane. before long, they were flying above the clouds with clear stars twinkling above them. “people usually look down in planes, but they should really look up. you can see jupiter and saturn tonight,” he said into the mouthpiece as he nodded up to the cockpit’s window. “it’s not a telescope, but i always found it peaceful — plus, when are you going to get a flight at night that you can look directly up during?”
