Where We Are Tour: Bogota, Colombia -25.04.2014
This is a small recap of the first wwat show, made by the Irish Mirror.
"1. The intro video was so nice it *almost* made us weep.
The boys pop up in front of a variety of famous landmarks from around the globe while clutching onto maps and various snazzy props and generally looking like they're having the best time ever. Harry sports a snorkelling mask in one clip (so crazy!) - and still manages to look lovely.
Dramatic fan responses went a bit like this: "Dying!" and "Crying!"
2. Zayn Malik hit a high note that blew the entire El Campin Stadium in Bogotá stadium away. Check it out here.
3. Louis asked if he could nip to the loo mid-show. As you do.
"Can I go for a quick wee? I'm desperate!" he yelled.
4. Niall is looking incredibly buff of late.
The blonde singer, who’s made no secret of the fact he’s back in the gym after his knee injury, was rocking a selection of sleeveless tops including a sleeveless plaid shirt, which showed off his growing biceps.
One fan wrote: “Niall I’m crying he’s drrrssed amazingly and his hair and his arms, “ while another said: “Niall’s beard shadow and his hair, his arms, he’s soooo attractive ughhh [sic].”
5. The livestream of the concert was bit of a failure – but that didn't stop fans from livetweeting it (the smart bunch).
“Only the One Direction fandom can live tweet a concert that’s in Colombia with no livestream & only 6 second blurry vines. I just love us," a dedicated Directioner posted.
6. Every One Direction fan on the planet seemed to absolutely love it judging by the explosive Twitter reaction – and so did Liam.
Shortly after the show wrapped, Liam wrote these rather strong words: “The greatest experience of my life.”
While Harry shared: “Columbia, thank you so much. You were the perfect way to start a tour. It’s been a while and you were incredible. Love x.”
Although some fans thought the boys seemed "rushed" at times. One wrote: @1DLittleSecret The boys DID seem a bit rushed tonight and Harry would take a deep breath before every solo!"
7. There were fireworks. Literally.
8. They performed 23 tracks in total, kicking off with Midnight Memories and ending on Best Song Ever."
