I'm American so I'm very curious what the "23h/25h BD survivor" means on the OC wrap template?

It's a french event that takes place when we change clocks!

The goal is to do a 24 pages comic in 23h (when we put the clock forward) or 12 pages in 25h when putting them back! (Actually you can participate with three different format: classic comic, webcomic/scroll or turbomedia)

To spice things up, because having a day to do a full comic is not enough, there's a theme and a constraint

Everyone is free to join, it's purelly for fun & to challenge yourself! There's no pressure on quality or anything

note: as you may have guessed I'm french and my english's a bit rusty, I hope I explained it clearly and sorry if the words are wrong

The Deserter - CW: Violence, Death

Drawn for the 25HBD 2025. Theme: Escape. Constraint: A character must face a language they don't understand.

Time management really slipped away from me and I spent way too much time on the drafts and page 1, but I had fun and tried some fun shots and page arrangement. Really wanted to add my own conlang in there, so we got some Dalaran. It's accurate to my current workings of the language -- if simplified. I had to make up some new words and grammatical decisions on the fly. This may change later.

Would really like to go back to it to polish the rest of the pages in the following weeks -- and even maybe write and draw part 2! (can you believe I thought I'd be able to double the challenge with 24 pages?? lol) But yeah, the ending of this is grim, but there's more to Diame's story!
