Hi Roberto, I hope all is well despite the lockdown. Here too in France the situation is becoming more restrictive. This is an image of everyday life that I always reminds me of the summer holidays with my grandmother in Pesaro. She passed away and the house was completely renovated. Fortunately, I saved this fragment / memory. At the next postcard, Alessandro.

is an inspiring postcard exchange between photographers from around the world experiencing lockdown and quarantine due to the Covid-19 crisis. Scope of the project is to send out one postcard a day for 25 days with postcard printing apps like Fizzer or Lalalab. THE SMART VIEW offers a matching service to connect photographers from around the world. The matched photographers are asked to exchange images and thoughts on the actual situation, but also archive images and inspirations to create a positive and creative connection with each other.

How nice what you wrote about saving a fragment / memory. Isn't this what we try to do by having a camera always ready? Isn't this the point of photographing? At this moment it is sunset time. Today is the eleventh day of lockdown and I have plenty of time to think about that.

18/03/20 A place where clouds touch the earth. 4750 meters above sea level. This place has been magic. Heavy clouds were moving over the pass and at one point opened up to show the valley behind. Sun rays broke through and enlightened the stony mountains of Himachal Pradesh close to the border of Nepal. This was the beginning of an adventurous journey into vast lands and what we didn't expect...the Monsun was following us carving the landscape and turning roads into waterfalls.

My life hasn’t been very active lately, so this quarantine isn’t impacting my life too much. At the maximum I moved 100 meters away from home, a couple of times, just to see, the sea nearby. I can say that staying indoors, practically a studio apartment, is not so tiring if you know how to maintain your thoughts. How's it going there? Here, the city seems to have dozed off and I’m longing to see it from afar.

First of all, it's nice to have exchanges of this kind. I am not used to combining words and images well, however, postcards deserve words, so ... As I send you this postcard outside there is a lot of sun and the noise of dogs, and a lot of silence.
