@jeffersonsbourbon #Presidential #Select #25yr #rye is a bit of a heavy weight. It's seldom often that you will run across a rye with this kind of age on it. In that respect I don't think #JPS gets the credit it deserves. On the nose this whiskey is a beautiful Brown sugar nose, with vanilla and a little clove. It just pours out of the glass and you could keep this one in your face all day. You can tell that this one has mellowed with time. I do recommend adding a touch of water just to open this rye up a bit. 25yrs in the Barrel can close off a whiskey, but be sparing. You don't want to miss out on this one. On the to urge is where this one shines. It's velvety with vanilla and mint, giving way to a little bit of oak tannins, and a controlled cinnamon finish. This is an easy drinker. It's not overly complex, and in this situation, that's not a bad thing. Don't look for things that aren't there. If you love Smooth Ambler ryes, this one is a similar profile. Since the whiskey is sourced you really have no idea where it came from, but I would bet this is Alberta grain, and not Indiana. It's a soft enjoyable pour and this bottle isn't going to hang around long Rating 92/100 #BuyIt #tryrye #BourbonResearch #BourbonBrotherhood #KentuckyStraitBourbon #Bourbon #instawhiskey @jonnysimpmia @bourbonsippers @dmartgpro @axisofwhisky @barrelsanddrams
