September 28, 2016: Anne Twist, mum to Harry and Gemma Styles, shared information yesterday on her Twitter about the MacMillan Cancer Support’s “World’s Largest Coffee Morning” coming up on Friday, the 30th. The Cheshire group of MacMillan supporters hosted their Coffee Morning last week and raised £1400 to contribute for MacMillan’s big event on Friday.

This event wraps up September’s 🎗Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and all the activities the charity had for the month. While the month dedicated to Childhood Cancer Awareness is ending, there is plenty of work still left to do. MacMillan Cancer Support created a way to continue supporting children and their families dependent on their services, by encouraging the community to meet and share Coffee Mornings together throughout the year.

What began in the 1990’s as an idea to host a small gathering to share coffee between friends and giving the cost of their cuppa to MacMillan Cancer Support, has now grown into a highly successful fundraiser for the charity. 2015’s coffee mornings total raised the sum of £25 million. This video, shared from MacMillan Cancer Support website explains how it works:

Anne has supported MacMillan Cancer Support for years, raising funds and bringing awareness to the charity’s work and services available for those needing help while battling cancer. 1. It's my birthday, I had a pretty bloody lovely day! Feeling very loved and cared for in my life. 2. I went for a pedicure with my sister, it was so fun going and I definitely want to go again. 3. We had an early dinner at a beautiful Lebanese restaurant. So tasty! I chose well for my birthday meal.
