❥ 29 APRIL 2026 | 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 has released a personal message wishing the very best to Welsh Rugby Union Player 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 as he announced his retirement from all forms of rugby at the end of this season.
The Prince of Wales is the Patron of Welsh Rugby Union.
The statement was accompanied by the iconic video clip of George picking up Israel Folau and carrying him backwards during the 2013 British and Irish Lions' tour of Australia.

George North is retiring after an illustrious career that won him 121 caps and scored 47 tries for his country. He helped Wales win four Six Nations titles and two Grand Slams. During his career, George also toured with the British and Irish Lions in 2013 and 2017.
