Good Things Come to Those Who Survive a Pandemic
It has been a long 5 years, and there have been moments where we weren’t sure this new album would ever see the light of day. But I can say now with confidence that the album has been remixed, mastered and is now in the process of being pressed to vinyl – perhaps 5-6 weeks away.
I would like to apologise on behalf of the band for such a long wait. Without going into too much detail all I can say is that the album has been a monster – a good kind of monster, but definitely the most difficult album I have ever worked on as both a musician and engineer/producer.
I initially mixed the album in 2017, not long after we recorded. But after several months of mixes, I just wasn’t happy with the results. After some post-production wrangling, suddenly COVID hit us like a tidal wave and the rest is history…
Last year (2021) I began remixing the album from scratch. Utilising some beautiful new UAD mixing gear, along with some invaluable guidance from local engineer Dee Stergo, I managed to create mixes that I feel are pretty damn good, and far better than what we initially had back in 2017.
I honestly feel the wait has been worth it, and we look forward to bringing ‘2 Bears’ to you all very soon.
Stay tuned, and thank you again for your support.
As ever,
Jonathan
