i dont care if this is self indulgent or out of character. i need to be heard out okay . okay listen to me i came out of inactivity for this. listen. also this isnt necessarily 2bford cuz i dont ship those two much (its also not really intended to be ANY ship) but i am open-minded yall interpret it however you want i like mc ships. anyway
thinking about a potential dynamic between 2b and sanford. maybe sanford sits back sometimes and thinks about/sees how close 2b is with deimos and hank, and how close he himself is with deimos and hank, but not necessarily with 2b. but he SUCKSSS at reaching out and sometimes also sucks at expressing feelings. stay with me here so one day he's with doc (whether for medical needs or something else) and everything just kind of bubbles over gradually and he messily expresses guilt for not being closer to 2b or being """favorable""" and even admits to being envious and lonely and 2b is just gobsmacked bc wdym. wdym this tough guy is getting (potentially more than) teary eyed because he isnt close to him. wdym hes panicking because he doesnt feel like he cares about him. wdym this goes deeper than just wanting the big boss' approval and he desires a healthier personal relationship with him. and 2b doesnt really know what to do so he just does what he does with deimos and just hugs sanford which is . rare to say the least in this dynamic. sanford is a little frantic by now but he doesnt dare let go and they just kind of linger there for a while in each others arms. neither of them had ever really stopped to consider their importance to one another. theres a long way to go from here but both of them find renewed determination and await their new beginnings. bonus points if deimos and/or hank put in effort from the sidelines to get the two to talk more often
