Yesterday
I miss that youth
That so happy to be alive feeling
The smiles that were neverending
The times that lasted till no tomorrow
Hanging out with the homies
Labeled as the old me
This little part of sanity
The youngsters ain’t know
The toddlers going crazy
The parents in tow
We see all of the anger but it’s time once again
To let go
The have now decided to get grown
And now days of play
Are days of sow
Free time is now a piece of your soul
Work is a number
So mine will be 16
From now on I’m going to live like 18
Here’s to the new beginnings.
