Here I am sitting on this beautiful big oak tree, standing in the middle of a huge park. All I see, when I look ahead are the green and orange leaves, rustling because of the cold wind. My wings feel like lead while I look down at all the humans who constantly yell and scream at each other. Then I think to myself: “I’m lucky I’m a bird.” I don’t have a boss yelling at me to finish my work on time just like the people over there by that small building. I don’t have a teacher ordering me to stop talking to my friends just like that person there walking by that river with her entire class. I don’t have parents who keep pulling me towards things I don’t want to go just like the people there by that fountain. No, I’m a free bird, sitting on this beautiful big brown oak tree, looking down at all the rushing and running people. Suddenly I feel rain cluttering against my feathers. People opening their umbrella to hide from the cold rain. Suddenly I hear a nasty noise. I look straight down and there are 3 pitch black crows fighting over a piece of banana a little girl had thrown at them. The little girl was looking at the birds with fear. I think she thought the crows might just attack her. She clutched her arm around her mother’s coated arm. The brown furry coat, soaking wet, wrinkled under her grip. The crows are still fighting over the banana. Thank god I’m not down there but here, safe in this beautiful big oak tree.
