we practice and perfect in the 2nd and 6th house, we exercise patience and build our character in the 10th 

we may think that we know a celebrity, politician, or public figure, but we only know what we are shown, just a tiny glimpse captured by a lens or a media conference subject to our own ideals and biases. this is how we all experience the 10th house - notorious or not, it’s what the world comes to ‘know’ you for and call you by. it’s why the 10th house or the midheaven associates with a public scandal or fall from grace, it’s often triggered by unmet expectation and failing to emulate distant ideals, it’s disappointing people because you were not the person they decided you were. 

the 10th house is the wider social reputation we pride ourselves on. pluto, on the other hand is the reputation we leave behind.
